This 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop is for women and gender-expansive folks who’ve always wanted to try DJing but didn’t know where to start. Whether you’re curious about the craft, craving a new creative outlet, or just want to feel powerful behind the decks, this is your invitation.
You’ll learn:
The basics of DJ equipment and how it all works
How to cue, mix, and transition songs
Skills that you can apply to any equipment, app, or DJ software
Guidance from someone who’s played Coachella, EDC, and beyond with focused insight on navigating identity specific obstacles as well as business.
No experience required. No pressure to go pro. Just come as you are.
What’s Included:
Hands-on group instruction in a private studio
Access to pro gear (CDJs, mixer, speakers, headphones provided)
Community connection with fellow beginners
Optional follow-up resources and access to individual coaching if you want to go further
A portion of each ticket supports local women’s and LGBTQ+ centers
